With 313 rushing yards in a 35-32 win over Utah State on Saturday, the Nevada Wolf Pack lengthened its lead on the national rushing offense charts. The Pack leads the nation with 292.83 rushing yards per game, more than 11 yards over second-place Georgia Tech.
Individually, Nevada has three in the top 10 in the WAC and three in the top 52 nationally in rushing. Vai Taua is third in the WAC and 29th nationally with 92.6 yards per game. Luke Lippincott is seventh in the WAC and 48th nationally at 82.8 yards per game. And quarterback Colin Kaepernick is eighth in the WAC and 52nd nationally at 76.8 ypg.
On the defensive side, junior defensive end Dontay Moch leads the country in tackles for loss per game. Moch had 3.5 TFLs against Utah State and now has 15.5 on the season. He average of 2.58 TFLs per game is best in the country.
As a team, Nevada leads the WAC and is fourth nationally in TFLs per game at 8.83
