Nevada at Utah State

Game Notes:
- With the 72-61 loss Thursday night at Utah State, Nevada fell to 12-8 overall on the season and 5-2 in WAC play.
- The loss snapped the Wolf Pack’s season-long five-game winning streak and was just the team’s ninth loss in its last 37 conference road games.
- Sophomore Armon Johnson led the Wolf Pack with 18 points, the sixth time this season that he has paced the team in scoring. He also led the team with five assists.
- Freshman Luke Babbitt added 17 points on 6-of-15 shooting. He made all three of his three-point attempts to tie his career best for treys made.
- Babbitt also led the team with seven rebounds, the 12th time this year that he has paced the team in rebounding and the fifth time in the last six games.
- Junior Brandon Fields also added 11 points, including a pair of three-pointers.
- Nevada outrebounded Utah State 35-33, the ninth consecutive game that the Wolf Pack has outrebounded its opponent. Nevada is now 9-4 on the year when outrebounding its opponents.
- The Wolf Pack tied its season-best three-point outing, knocking down 50 percent of its three-pointers in the game (7-14). The team also made 50 percent of its attempts from beyond the arc Dec. 9 vs. Sonoma State (6-12).
- Nevada turned in its best first-half shooting effort (50.0 percent, 13-26) but shot just 31.3 percent in the second half (10-32) and ended up at 39.7 percent for the game.
- Nevada continues its road trip on Saturday night, traveling to Moscow, Idaho, to take on the Idaho Vandals. Saturday’s game at Idaho’s Cowan Spectrum will tip off at 7:05 p.m. Pacific Time and can be heard on Nevada’s radio flagship, ESPN 630 AM, and its radio affiliates throughout the state with Ryan Radtke calling the action.
