RENO, Nev. The University of Nevada women’s basketball team volunteered at Agnes Risley Elementary School on January 9.
The team spent time in the classroom and at recess with the students. In the classroom, the students showed the Pack their reading skills as the students read to the team. At recess, the Pack played basketball with the students.
Nevada also donated camp basketballs to the class they visited.
This season the women’s basketball team has completed over 230 hours of community service as a team. The Pack has spent time volunteering at the Sports Bash 2008 Clinic, the Nevada Twilight Cross Country Classic Meet, Race for the Cure, the President’s Tailgate, Habitat for Humanity and at different elementary schools in the area.
