MADISON, Wis. The University of Nevada soccer team was shutout, 4-0, at Wisconsin Sunday morning in Madison. With the loss, Nevada falls to 0-6-2 on the year while Wisconsin improves to 6-2-1.
Wisconsin scored the game-winning goal in the 23rd minute as Laurie Nosbusch headed in her fifth goal of the season. The Badgers added another goal in the first half as Erin Jacobsen put Wisconsin up 2-0 with her goal in the 33rd minute.
The Badgers added two goals in the second half, in the 65th and 88th minutes to post the 4-0 win.
The Badgers outshot the Pack 14-6 in the match including holding an 8-3 advantage in shots on goal. Samantha Miller led Nevada with three shots while Erin Smith recorded two.
Sarah Hunt made two saves for Nevada while Wisconsin goalkeeper Jaime Kalges made three saves for the Badgers.
Nevada will return home on Sunday to face UC Davis at 1 p.m.
