The University of Nevada football team opens preseason camp today with Media Day followed by the team's first practice.

The Wolf Pack returns 13 starters and three dozen lettermen from last year's New Mexico Bowl team. Nevada will have 105 players on the roster to begin fall camp.

The team is schedule to practice or meet daily until the week of Aug. 25, when it begins preparations for the season opener against Grambling State at Mackay Stadium on Aug. 30. The first four practices (today through Thursday) are not in full pads, part of the NCAA-mandated acclimation period. The first day of full pads and full contact is Friday with the first of six double-day practices scheduled for Saturday.

Nevada will hold three scrimmages during camp, which are open to the public. Those scrimmages are tentatively scheduled for Aug. 10, Aug. 16 and Aug. 22. More info on those will be available at a later date.

Practices are generally open to the public but can be closed at any time by the coaching staff or school officials. Fans are asked to stay outside of the fenced area at Wolf Pack Park and no still photography or video is allowed, with the exception of accredited media personnel.
