Nevada Postgame Notes:

-         With the 64-57 victory over seventh-seeded Fresno State in the quarterfinals of the 2008 WAC Tournament on Thursday night, second-seeded Nevada improved to 21-10 overall on the season and notched its fourth consecutive victory.

-         The Wolf Pack also advances to the semifinals of the WAC Tournament for the  sixth time in its eight years as a member of the league and will take on either third-seeded New Mexico State or sixth-seeded Idaho at 8:30 p.m. Mountain Time (7:30 p.m. Pacific) Friday night. Nevada’s semifinal game in the WAC Tournament will be televised locally by KAME-TV 21 and nationally as part of the ESPN Full Court Package.

-         Sophomore JaVale McGee turned in his team-leading eighth double-double of the season with 22 points and 10 rebounds against the Bulldogs. He notched back-to-back double-doubles for the first time this year after turning in 23 points and 14 rebounds in Nevada’s regular-season finale last Saturday at Fresno State. Thursday also marked McGee’s seventh 20-point game of the year and of his career.

-         McGee also blocked four shots in the game, his 12th contest this season with at least four blocks.

-         Senior Marcelus Kemp added 12 points and nine rebounds, while senior Demarshay Johnson had 11 points and seven rebounds.

-         Nevada outrebounded Fresno State 47-40 and improved to 15-2 on the year when outrebounding its opponent. That marked the second consecutive game that Nevada pulled down 47 rebounds, which is tied for the second-most boards by the team this season.
