Nevada Postgame Notes:

-         With the 88-68 victory over Hawai’i on Saturday, Nevada improved to 15-8 overall and 7-3 in WAC play.

-         The team also won for the 17th in 18 WAC regular-season games and for the 34th in its last 37 home games.

-         Senior Marcelus Kemp led the team with 25 points, his 33rd consecutive game in double figures for scoring. It was also his 10th game this season with at least 20 points and the 33rd of his career.

-         He went 9-of-12 from the field and 5-of-6 from three-point land. The five treys tied his career high, while he now has 204 career three-pointers and needs just five more to tie the school career record for three-pointers made.

-         Sophomore JaVale McGee tied his career best with 20 points and led the game with 10 rebounds. That marked his team-leading sixth double-double of the season.

-         Sophomore Brandon Fields added 17 points and made 3-of-5 three-pointers, his 11th game this season with two or more treys made.

-         Nevada tied its season high for field goal percentage at 61.2 percent (30-49) and shot a season-best 64.7 percent from three-point land (11-17). The team also made a season-high 11 three-pointers in the game.

-         With the 11 three-pointers made, Nevada’s fans can get a free personal pizza at Round Table Pizza restaurants in the Reno-Sparks area on Sunday only.

-         Sophomore Ray Kraemer made both of his three-point attempts in the game and has now made 5-of-5 in the last two games.

-         Led by freshman Armon Johnson with a career-high seven assists, Nevada matched its season best with 24 assists for the second consecutive game. Junior Lyndale Burleson dished out a season-high five assists, while sophomore Brandon Fields had four with no turnovers.

-         Burleson also matched his career best with three steals in the game.

-         Nevada plays its third game in five days on Monday, playing host to the WAC-leading Utah State Aggies at 7:05 p.m. at Lawlor Events Center. That game was originally scheduled for Jan. 5 but was postponed due to winter storms in Reno.
