Sonoma State at Nevada

Game Notes:

-          With the 95-39 win over Sonoma State on Tuesday night, Nevada evened its record at 4-4 on the year and 2-2 at home. The team won for the 14th time in its last 18 home games and is now 75-11 at Lawlor Events Center since the start of the 2003-04 season.

-          All 12 players scored for Nevada, led by freshman Luke Babbitt who had 16 on 6-of-10 shooting, including both of his three-point attempts. Babbitt has scored in double figures in all but one game this season and has led the team in scoring in five of eight contests this year.

-           Sophomores Malik Cooke and Armon Johnson each had 14 points, while junior Joey Shaw had 10. Cooke tied his career high in scoring with his 14 points.

-          Freshman Ahyaro Phillips turned in the best day of his young career with eight points and a team-high 12 rebounds (both career bests for him) in 21 minutes. He made all three of his field goal attempts and both of his free throw attempts.

-          Junior Richie Phillips turned in career bests with six points and six rebounds, while junior Brandon Fields scored a season-high nine.

-          Nevada scored a season-high 95 points in the game and also turned in season highs for field goal percentage (.534), three-point percentage (.500) and free throw percentage (.871, 27-31).

-          The Wolf Pack also turned in season highs for rebounds (52), assists (24) and blocked shots (12).

-          The 56-point win was the biggest for the Wolf Pack since the team turned in an 88-33 win over Colorado-Colorado Springs on Nov. 20, 2004 at Lawlor Events Center.

-          Nevada continues its four-game homestand on Sunday with Southern Illinois in a rematch of last year’s BracketBusters game. Sunday’s game at Lawlor Events Center will tip off at 3:05 p.m. and can be heard on Nevada’s radio flagship, ESPN 630 AM, and its radio affiliates throughout the state.
