Game Notes:

-          With the 75-66 loss at California on Saturday afternoon, Nevada fell to 6-5 on the year and 2-3 on the road this season. The loss snapped the Wolf Pack’s first three-game winning streak of the year.

-          Sophomore Armon Johnson led the team with a career-high 33 points on 11-of-21 shooting from the field and 9-of-12 from the free throw line. He scored 27 of his 33 points in the second half, making 8-of-13 attempts, including a pair of three-pointers, in the final 20 minutes. Johnson scored Nevada’s first seven points of the half and 13 of its last 15 in the game.

-          Johnson led three Wolf Pack players in double figures for scoring. Freshman Luke Babbitt had 14 points and has been in double figures in all but one game this season, while junior Brandon Fields added 10.

-          Babbitt and sophomore Malik Cooke led the team with seven rebounds apiece.

-          Nevada allowed the Bears to score 75 points after holding its last three opponents to 48.3 points per game. The nation’s top three-point shooting team, Cal also made 46.2 percent of its attempts from the field and 58.3 percent from three-point land after the Wolf Pack had held its last three opponents to 28.4 percent shooting overall and 25.5 percent from beyond the arc.

-          Nevada will take six days off for the holidays and returns to action on Saturday, Dec. 27, playing host to the Idaho State Bengals. The Idaho State game is the first of three home games for Nevada, which is in the middle of a stretch of seven of eight at home. Saturday’s game at Lawlor Events Center will tip off at 7:05 p.m. Pacific and can be heard on Nevada’s radio flagship, ESPN 630 AM, and its radio affiliates throughout the state.
