FRESNO, Calif. The University of Nevada soccer team fell 2-0 at Fresno State Sunday afternoon in the regular-season finale for both teams. With the loss Nevada fell to 2-13-3 overall (2-4-1 WAC) while Fresno State improved to 9-8-2 overall (5-1-1 WAC).
Fresno State scored the game-winning goal in the 72nd minute and added an insurance goal in the 81st minute.
The Bulldogs ended the game with 19 shots (six on goal) while the Pack finished the game with six shots (three on goal). Cristen Drummond led the Pack with three shots while Karen Zmirak took two for Nevada.
Sarah Hunt made four saves in goal for the Pack while Kaitlyn Revel made three for the Bulldogs.
Nevada has qualified for its fourth consecutive WAC tournament which will be held at Mackay Stadium November 6-7 and 9.
