Nevada vs. New Mexico StateOct. 11, 2008 Post-Game QuotesNevada Head Coach Chris AultOn overall game
“The third down conversions are what hurt the most.”
“It’s that simple, no magic wands, their offense out-played our defense.”
On offense
“Offensively, we played well. We moved the ball and kept their offense off the field. Our offense deserved the win.”
On overall game
“I feel very disappointed, I don’t think we deserved the win playing that kind of football. Our defense was non-existent but our offense played well under the circumstances”
On next week
“It’s tough, take a loss like this, look at next week as a whole other situation. Defensively speaking we need to look at personnel.”
On problems in game
“With Kap’s fumble and Amaya’s fumbled punt, those were both critical plays. Jon doesn’t drop balls but he did this time.”
On defense
“I expected us to execute better. They had too many wide open plays. We have to execute, have to play football.”
Vai TauaOn fighting to keep up
“We had to score touchdowns and had a couple letdowns. But offense should be able to put up more points.”
On the turnovers
“”We should have been able to overcome them and make something happen.”
On the offensive line
“They do all the hard work, what I do is easy.”
Mike BetheaOn-game
“A lot of us are not doing our job. We need to go back and look at film tomorrow and Monday and see.”
On-NMSU
“They know what kind of deffense we are and what we like to do. They just picked us apart on those long plays.”
On- WAC
“Like Coach said, we’ll watch film tomorrow then throw it away and start working on Utah State.”
