RENO, Nev. The University of Nevada football program has signed six mid-year transfers, head coach Chris Ault announced on Friday.

“This is an excellent mid-year class,” Ault said. “We are very pleased that they will be here for our conditioning period and for spring football.”

All six of the signees are freshmen and have enrolled at the university this semester. Two of the players were with the program in the fall in tight end Zack Sudfeld (6-7, 230 pounds, Modesto Christian HS in Modesto, Calif.) and linebacker Brett Roy (6-4, 240 pounds, Yucaipa HS in Yucaipa, Calif). The other four are grayshirts freshmen who delayed enrollment until the spring semester. Each will go through winter conditioning and spring practice and will have four years of eligibility available.

The other four signees include three defensive players and a wide receiver. The receiver is Brandon Wimberly, a 6-3, 190-pounder of Gardena (Calif.) High School. The defensive players are: linebacker Albert Rosette, a 6-2, 225-pounder from De La Salle High in Concord, Calif.; Mark Avery, a 6-4, 270-pound defensive lineman from Amos Alonzo Stagg High in Stockton, Calif.; and Mose Denton, a 6-1, 180-pound defensive back from Mayfair High in Lakewood, Calif.

The mid-year signing period ended last week. National Signing Day is set for Feb. 6. The Wolf Pack will begin spring drills on Feb. 29.
