With just eight days until the season opener and 22 days until the home opener, here are some news, notes and reminders about the 2007 Nevada football season:
* Season tickets and single tickets are on sale and fans have three options to purchase tickets: 1) In person at the Legacy Hall or Lawlor Events Center ticket offices; 2) On the phone by calling (775) 348-PACK; On the Internet at www.nevadawolfpack.com. Single-game tickets start at $18 and season-ticket packages are available starting at just $90. Season tickets have been mailed to those who have already purchased them.
* New to game days this fall is the option to purchase reserved parking near Mackay Stadium. Parking passes are being sold for the West Stadium Parking Complex (Floors 4, 5 and 6) and the surface lot south of Lawlor Events Center. For the garage, a season parking pass is $100. For the Lawlor lot, the season pass is $50 and single games permits are $10.
* Also new this year is Pack Town, an interactive fanfest located north of Mackay Stadium. Wolf Pack Alley is the main attraction of Pack Town. Wolf Pack Alley, presented by the Nevada Alumni Association and Saint Mary's Hospital, will be the place to be for families and fans of all ages before every home Wolf Pack football game this year. Beginning three hours prior to kickoff, Wolf Pack Alley features live entertainment, inflatable bounce houses, food vendors, Wolf Pack memorabilia and merchandise, interactive games and more. * On Saturday, members of the Blue Crew, athletic department officials and Wolf Pack student-athletes will “Paint the N.” The group will meet at the Jot Travis Student Union parking lot at 9 a.m. before heading up to Peavine Mountain.
* The Wolf Pack football team will conclude fall camp Saturday with a scrimmage at Mackay Stadium. The scrimmage is closed to the public and media.
* All six of the Wolf Pack’s road games this year can be seen on television, starting with next Saturday’s season-opener at Nebraska, which will be on ABC. The following game, at Northwestern, will be shown on the Big Ten Network. Four other games will be seen on the ESPN family of networks and two road games (Utah State and San Jose State) will be seen on My 21 KAME-TV in Northern Nevada.
