RENO, Nev.   The Nevada football team, coming off its second straight bowl appearance, will begin spring drills next week at Wolf Pack Park.

The Wolf Pack will hold its first spring practice on Tuesday afternoon and will practice four times a week until the final week of the spring session. The annual Spring Game is set for April 21 at 9:30 a.m. at Mackay Stadium.

Nevada returns 14 starters and 44 lettermen from last year’s team than went 8-5 overall and 5-3 (T-3rd) in the Western Athletic Conference. The Wolf Pack qualified for its second straight bowl game and lost a narrow 21-20 decision to Miami in MPC Computers Bowl in Boise, Idaho.

The Wolf Pack’s season opener is Sept. 1 at Nebraska. The rest of the team’s schedule will be announced at a future date.

Nevada’s spring practices are generally open to the media and public but can be closed at any time by the coaching staff. The schedule, which is subject to change, can be found by clicking the PDF link at the top of this page
