RENO, Nev.   The Nevada football team has added another member to its 2007 recruiting class with Wednesday’s signing of Luke Collis of Pasadena, Calif. to a National Letter of Intent.

Collis prepped at St. Francis High School in La Canada, Calif. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound quarterback threw for more than 2,000 yards and 13 touchdowns during his senior season with the Golden Knights.

“We took our time with this position because it had to be someone who has the size, movement and arm strength we envision to run the Pistol offense,” Nevada coach Chris Ault said. “Luke has all of these qualities and has been very well coached along the way. I am very pleased that he will be wearing the silver and blue.”

In addition to the 16 high school recruits announced on Feb. 7 and the three mid-year transfers who have already enrolled in classes, Nevada now has 20 members of this year’s recruiting class.
