Junior running back Luke Lippincott was a unanimous selection for the Golden Helmet Award at the 2006 Nevada Football Awards Banquet held Sunday morning at the Silver Legacy.
Senior tight end Adam Bishop was named the team’s Outstanding Offensive Player of the Year honor and senior outside linebacker Ezra Butler captured the Outstanding Defensive Player of the Year award. Junior Kevin Grimes was named the Outstanding Special Teams Player of the Year.
Nevada finished the season with a 6-6 overall record and a 4-4 mark in the Western Athletic Conference. The Wolf Pack is bowl eligible for the third straight year and is awaiting a bowl invitation.
