vs. New Mexico State, 11/2/07
-- Luke Lippincott now has four straight 100-yards games and six this season. He has nine in his career.
-- Brett Jaekle has made a field goal in every game this season and 10 straight games dating back to the MPC Computers Bowl against Miami on Dec. 31, 2006.
-- Adam Bishop caught his first pass since the Boise State game as the senior had two catches for 20 yards tonight. He had a 5-yard touchdown reception in the second quarter for his seventh TD of the year and his first since the Fresno State game. Half of his receptions this year (7-of-14) have gone for touchdowns.
-- Marko Mitchell has now caught a touchdown in five straight games. He also had his third 100-yard receiving effort of the season, finishing the game with six catches for 132 yards and one touchdown.
-- Colin Kaepernick’s 64-yard touchdown pass to Marko Mitchell is the longest completion of Kaepernick’s career and the longest reception of Mitchell’s career.
-- In his last five games, Kaepernick has accounted for 18 touchdowns, with 13 through the air and five on the ground. The redshirt freshman scored three touchdowns through the air on Friday and ran for two more.
-- Nick Fuhr recorded another sack and now has a team-leading five this year.
--Nevada has never been shut out as a member of Football Bowl Subdivision (Division I-A) and has not been shut out since Sept. 27, 1980, a streak of 326 games that is the longest in the nation. The last time Nevada was blanked was at Weber State, a 10-0 loss. That is the only shutout loss ever suffered by Hall of Fame coach Chris Ault. During the streak, Nevada has shut out eight opponents, the last being a 42-0 win over Louisiana Tech last year in Ruston, La.
-- Senior Jay Dixon started in place of redshirt freshman Kevin Basped at defensive end.
--Today’s victory is the 190th of coach Chris Ault’s career.
--Chris Ault has never lost to New Mexico State in six games. Ault has never lost to either of the WAC’s Aggies (New Mexico State or Utah State).
--Nevada now leads the all-time series with the Aggies 10-1 and has won four straight games in the series.
-- Colin Kaepernick’s interception in the fourth quarter ended his streak of 135 consecutive passing attempts without an interception. Prior to that pick, Nevada’s quarterbacks had not thrown an interception in 166 straight attempts, dating back to the Sept. 29 win over UNLV.
