RENO, Nev. The University of Nevada men's basketball team has completed its 2007-08 schedule featuring 15 home games and at least 11 televised contests, fourth-year head coach Mark Fox announced Tuesday.

Following an exhibition game against Seattle Pacific on Nov. 3 at Lawlor Events Center, the four-time defending Western Athletic Conference champion Wolf Pack will open the regular season with a pair of road game. Nevada will travel to Orlando, Fla., to take on the University of Central Florida on Nov. 11 in the inaugural game at the new UCF Arena and to Anaheim, Calif., for a game against UC Irvine on Nov. 13 at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Nevada will play two of its next three games at Lawlor Events, playing host to Santa Clara on Nov. 17 in its home opener and California on Nov. 28. The team travels to UNLV on Nov. 24 for the annual in-state rivalry game.

After a Dec. 1 game at Pacific, Nevada will return home for a four-game homestand, playing host to Montana State on Dec. 8, San Diego on Dec. 12, UCF on Dec. 16 and Colorado State on Dec. 19. The Wolf Pack then heads to Northern Iowa on Dec. 22, in a return of last year’s BracketBuster matchup, and to North Carolina on Dec. 27 for a nationally televised contest on ESPN2. Nevada will wrap up its non-conference slate with a New Year’s Eve game against Cal State Stanislaus on Dec. 31 at Lawlor Events Center.

Nevada opens Western Athletic Conference action at home, playing host to Utah State on Jan. 5 in Reno before hitting the road for games at San Jose State and Hawai’i. Idaho, Boise State and Fresno State will visit Nevada in the month of January, while the Wolf Pack travels to New Mexico State and Louisiana Tech.

The month of February will see the Wolf Pack head to Utah State, Boise State and Idaho and play host to San Jose State, Hawai’i and New Mexico State. The Wolf Pack will step out of conference action on Saturday, Feb. 23 to participate in the O’Reilly ESPNU BracketBusters. Nevada will play on the road in this year’s event with its opponent to be announced in February.

Nevada will wrap up the regular season with a home game against Louisiana Tech on March 1 and a road game at Fresno State on March 8. The team will then head to the Pan American Center in Las Cruces, N.M., for the 2007 WAC Tournament on March 11-15 with the winner earning the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.


The Wolf Pack Sports Network and Nevada’s broadcast partner, MY 21 KAME-TV, will televise a total of eight men's basketball road games this year, including contests on Dec. 1 at Pacific, Dec. 22 at Northern Iowa, Jan. 10 at San Jose State, Jan. 12 at Hawai’i, Jan. 24 at New Mexico State, Feb. 2 at Utah State, Feb. 14 at Boise State and March 8 at Fresno State.

In addition to being seen locally on channel 21 and on channel 7 on Charter Cable, Nevada’s games also will be carried on Comcast SportsNet West, putting Wolf Pack games in the homes of fans in northern Nevada, the Bay Area and northern and central California.

ESPN2 will televise Nevada’s Dec. 27 game at North Carolina and its Feb. 9 home game vs. Hawai’i to a national audience, while the Wolf Pack’s Nov. 24 contest at UNLV will be shown on the Mtn.

Season tickets renewals for the 2007-08 edition of Wolf Pack basketball have already been sent out and are due back on Oct. 19. New season tickets will go on sale in late October. Fans interested in purchasing new season tickets should contact Meredith Montoya (mmontoya@unr.edu or 775-682-6905).
