Nevada won both of its road games this weekend beating Pac-10 opponent Washington 2-1 and recording a 1-0 victory against Portland State. The victories keep the Wolf Pack unbeaten on the road with a 4-0-1 record, its best road record in program history. Nevada continues its streak of five consecutive games on the road this weekend as the Pack closes out its non-conference schedule at the UNM Classic in Albuquerque, N.M. Nevada will face Northern Arizona on Friday at 3 p.m. Pacific and will take on tournament host New Mexico on Sunday at 2 p.m. Pacific.

All-Time vs. the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks:
Nevada holds a 2-1 edge in the all-time series between the two schools. The Wolf Pack recorded 2-1 victories against the Lumberjacks in 2003 (home) and 2004 (away), while NAU beat Nevada last season 3-1 at the Soccer Etc. Tournament in Boise, Idaho. In last season's match, the Lumberjacks scored just before halftime and again right after half to take a 2-0 lead. Aivi Luik scored a goal off Jessica Wilcox's assist in the 55th minute and closed the gap to 2-1 but NAU put the game out of reach when it scored its third goal of the match in the 67th minute as the Lumberjacks posted a 3-1 victory over Nevada. Blaine Dugan led the Wolf Pack with five shots, two of which were on goal.
Scouting the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks:
The Lumerjacks are 4-5 this season and are coming off an 0-1 weekend in which the team lost 4-0 to defending National Champions, #5 Portland. NAU has played in three tournaments this season recording a 4-2 record in the tournaments (Hilton Garden Inn Mountain Classic, Flagstaff, Ariz.; Indiana Tournament, Bloomsfield, Ind.; and the La Quinta Inn and Suites High Altitude Tournament, Flagstaff, Ariz.) The Lumberjacks dropped matches to CS Northridge, 3-0, and to Hawaii 2-1 in double overtime. NAU is 0-2-0 on the road and 0-1-0 in neutral site games. Cee Cee Ororfer leads the Lumberjacks with eight points (three goals, two assists) while Sarah Vallen has scored three goals. Keeper Darin Kleinsmith has played in five games and has recorded a 1.83 goals against average. Kleinsmith has made 23 saves and has recorded the team's only shutout of the season. Goalie Elizabeth Winkelblec has seen time in five games, has made 37 saves and has a 1.86 GAA. The Lumberjacks are coached by Andre Luciano who has a 37-59-7 record at NAU. Luciano is in his sixth season with the Lumberjacks.
All-Time vs. the New Mexico Lobos:
Nevada leads the all-time series between the two schools 1-0 having beaten the Lobos 2-0 last season in Reno. Miranda Montejo gave Nevada a 1-0 lead in the 10th minute and the Wolf Pack scored again off the opening kickoff 25 seconds later when Lauren Kinneman took the ball down the left flank and bent a shot past Lobos' goalie Kristen Winters. The shutout victory was Nevada's third of the season which broke the school record for most shutouts in a season. Wolf Pack goalie Caitlin Holmes made her first career start for Nevada and made one save. Holmes had to leave the game 10 seconds before halftime with a season ending injury.
Scouting the New Mexico Lobos:
The Lobos have a 5-4 record this season having recorded a 1-1 record over the weekend against Washington State and Washington. New Mexico has played in three tournaments this season (Akron Tournament, Akron, Ohio; UNLV Tournament, Las Vegas, Nev.; and the Washington Tournament in Seattle, Wash.) and has a 4-2 record in those tournaments. The Lobos have also recorded a 4-0 win over UTEP and losses to Texas, 2-1 2OT, and to Purdue, 1-0. Kristine Sweat leads New Mexico with nine points (four goals and two assists), while Asha Richardson has recorded six points (three goals). Goalie Shannon Adragna has started all nine matches for New Mexico and has recorded two solo shutouts. She has made 15 saves and has a 0.77 goals against average. The Lobos are coached by fifth season head coach Kit Vela who has a 37-55-11 overall record at New Mexico.
Last Week's Results at Oregon and Portland State:
Karen Zmirak gave Nevada the lead in the 21st minute against Oregon. Devin Noe hit a long corner kick that found senior Lauren Kinneman past the back post. Kinneman served the ball back onto the face of the goal where Zmirak hit the ball to the near post and past Oregon goalie Emily Zaler. The Ducks tied the game in the 59th minute on a Nicole Garbin goal. Kinneman scored the game-winner for Nevada with just five minutes remaining in the match. Samantha Miller's long throw-in was flicked on by Aivi Luik. Luik's header found Kinneman who beat Zaler to give Nevada the 2-1 win. Keeper Jen Mavis recorded four saves for Nevada in her second start of the season. Oregon outshot Nevada 15-7 in the game and held a 5-3 advantage in shots on goal. Kinneman led the Pack with three shots. In Sunday's game at Portland State, Montejo scored the game's only goal in the 22nd minute off an assist from Luik. Kinneman took the ball down the left flank and crossed it to Luik on the right side. Luik hit a short pass to Montejo who tapped the ball into the net for the game-winner. Mavis recorded her first career shutout for the Pack in just her third career start and made one save in the game. Nevada outshot Portland 18-7 in the game.
Program Firsts:
For the first time in program history, Nevada stood alone atop the WAC with its 4-0-1 record for the week of Sept. 11 and the Pack reclaimed the top spot in the WAC standings on Sept. 25...The Pack's win and tie against Washington State and Eastern Washington gave the squad its first unbeaten road series in program history...Nevada's two road wins over Oregon and Portland State marks the first time in program history the Pack went undefeated in a road series...Nevada is undefeated on the road for the first time in program history with a 4-0-1 record as the team has recorded wins at Sacramento State, Washington State, Oregon, Portland State and tied Eastern Washington...Nevada's 4-0 record through its first four games (Sacramento State, Wisconsin-Green Bay, Northern Iowa and Washington State) marks the longest winning streak in program history, while the Pack's 4-0-1 record marks the longest unbeaten streak in program history...Nevada's Randee Robinson is the first player in program history to be named WAC Player of the week more than once...Jen Mavis recorded her first career shutout in her third career start at Portland State.

WAC Athlete of the Week:
Nevada has had three players named WAC Athlete of the Week. Senior Lauren Kinneman was named offensive player of the week for Sept. 25 after scoring the game-winning goal and recording the assist on the Pack's other goal as Nevada beat Pac-10 opponent Oregon 2-1 on the road. Kinneman's goal against Oregon was her first goal of the season and the seventh of her career. Sophomore Randee Robinson was awarded the honor for the week of Sept. 5 after she helped anchor a Nevada defense that recorded two shutouts over Wisconsin-Green Bay and Northern Iowa. The Wolf Pack defense allowed only nine shots in the two victories including two halves where Nevada held its opponents shotless. Red shirt freshman goalie, Caitlin Holmes was named WAC Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 11 after she made 11 saves in two matches as Nevada recorded a road victory at Washington State and a tie at Eastern Washington. The Wolf Pack defense allowed just two goals over the weekend as Holmes posted a goals against average of 0.90 in the two victories.
