Reno, Nev. In appreciation of the loyalty of Nevada Wolf Pack fans, Saturday’s football game against Utah State (1:05 p.m., Mackay Stadium) is Fan Appreciation Day. The University of Nevada athletic department has organized several promotions and events for Saturday to honor our fans.

As part of Fan Appreciation Day, the University of Nevada is looking for the season-ticket holders in the community who have had their tickets for the longest amount of time. If you think you or someone you know might have had your season tickets longer than any other Wolf Pack fan or have a great story to tell, email the Nevada Athletics Department at packfans@unr.edu.

Among the other festivities:

Discounted tickets are available for the football game against Utah State. All groups of 10 or more can purchase tickets at a group rate of just $8. These tickets must be purchased prior to game day. Call 348-PACK for more information.

Bully Sports Bar and Grill is sponsoring a Pancake Feed from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday in the Community Corner, which is located outside the northeast corner of Mackay Stadium.

Parking lot tailgaters will receive 1,000 Wolf Pack Tumblers for free.

One special fan will be a guest PA announcer for part of the game. The fan, Chris Jensen, won this opportunity at the Wolf Pack Meet and Greet event in August.

Fans can use their football ticket stub for free admission to the Wolf Pack women’s basketball team’s season opener against Cal Poly. Tip-off is at 5 p.m. at Lawlor Events Center. Also, all fans in attendance will receive a coupon for free admission to the Nevada-Auburn game on Dec. 1, part of the women’s John Ascuaga’s Nugget Classic.
