Nevada Game Notes vs. Utah State
Nevada has now won two straight against Utah State and leads the all-time series 13-4.

Nevada has now won 10 consecutive games at Mackay Stadium. The Wolf Pack’s last loss at home was against Washington State in the 2005 season opener. Nevada is 15-2 at home since Chris Ault returned to the sidelines in 2004 and 126-25-1 overall at home under Ault. This is the 16th season in Ault’s 22 years that Nevada has lost no more than one game at home during a season.
This is the first shutout by Nevada since a 63-0 blanking of Cal Poly in 1998. In 10 games this season, Nevada has held four opponents to one score or less.
Nevada has not been shutout in 314 straight games, the longest such streak in the nation.
Senior quarterback Jeff Rowe moved into second place on the all-time completions list, passing Eric Beavers (1983-86), who had 642. Rowe entered the game with 633 career completions and went 12-of-19 for 140 yards with one touchdown. He now has 645 career completions.
Nevada entered the game tied for the lead nationally in turnover margin per game at plus-1.33. The Wolf Pack came out on the plus end again with three takeaways (interceptions by Uche Anyanwu, Scott Garrison and Joe Garcia) and two giveaways.
Rowe rushed for two touchdowns on the day, his first two-score rushing performance since last year’s 37-27 win over Louisiana Tech.
Dwayne Sanders took back the opening kickoff 81 yards, marking the longest for Nevada this season and for Sanders. It was the longest return by a Nevada player since an 89-yarder (touchdown) by Del Bates in a 52-24 win over Boise State on Oct. 31, 1998.
Sophomore Luke Lippincott recorded his first career 100-yard game with a career-high 25 carries for 144 yards. He also had his second-straight two-touchdown performance with runs of 5 and 1 yards for scores.
All six of Robert Hubbard’s touchdowns this year have been scored at home.
Redshirt freshman Mike Kanellis scored his first career touchdown on a 1-yard plunge in the fourth quarter.
Nevada starting lineup changes: Senior Scott Garrison started at inside linebacker in place of sophomore Joshua Mauga. Junior Paul Pratt started at cornerback in place of junior Devon Walker. Sophomore Jack Darlington started in place of sophomore Mike McCoy at receiver.
