RENO, Nev. - Nevada notched its second straight win for the first time since a WAC series last year at home against Boise State and UTEP as they dispatched Utah State in a WAC game here Saturday afternoon, 64-54.

The Pack (5-12, 1-4 WAC) led 32-27 at the half and though they trailed once, 50-48 with 4:35 remaining, the Pack regained the lead a minute later, 51-50 on a Brandi Fitzgerald three-pointer and they never relinquished the lead. Less than a minute later, Traci Graham nailed a three-pointer to put the Pack up 54-50.

Fitzgerald had 17 points to lead Nevada and added five rebounds as well as three steals and three blocks. Kate Saltmarsh had nine points and Cherlanda Franklin seven markers. Danyelle Snelgro had 10 points to lead Utah State (1-14, 0-5 WAC).

Nevada had a positive assists to turnover ratio, 13-10, and limited Utah State to just 30 percent from the field. The Pack had six blocks and six steals in the win. The Pack shot 38 percent from the field.

Nevada continues WAC play at home when they host Boise State (10-7, 2-3 WAC) Thursday night at 7:05 p.m. in Lawlor Events Center.
