Final Stats

MOSCOW, Idaho - The Nevada women's basketball team dropped a WAC game to Idaho here Thursday night, 69-56.

Nevada (3-11, 0-3 WAC) trailed Idaho (6-8, 2-1 WAC) 45-25 at the half and were behind by as many as 24 in the first half but was able to cut the lead to nine, 65-56, with 1:53 remaining. But that would be as close as the Pack would get.

Leading Nevada was Brandi Fitzgerald, who had 15 points, 13 of them in the second half. Jessica Preslar added nine and Salaia Salave'a had eight points.

Idaho outshot Nevada from long-range with seven three-pointers to just one for Nevada and was 20 of 23 from the free throw line while Nevada managed just seven of 12 at the charity stripe. Nevada did manage just 14 turnovers to 21 for the Vandals but Idaho had 30 rebounds to 25 for Nevada.

The Vandals shot 54 percent from the field and 64 percent from long-range to 42 percent for Nevada from the field and just 14 percent from three-point range.

Emily Faurholt led Idaho with 23 points while Leilani Mitchell added 20 markers.

The Pack's next action will be Saturday at 2 p.m. MT (1 p.m. PT) at Boise State for another WAC contest.
