RENO, Nev. - The Nevada soccer team beat Pac-10 opponent Washington State 3-0 at Mackay Stadium Sunday afternoon. The Pack remain unbeaten at home this season and move to 4-3-1 overall, while the Cougars fall to 5-3-1.

"We dominated the entire game and beat a very good Pac-10 team," said Nevada head coach Terri Patraw.

Freshman Randee Robinson (Port Orchard, Wash.) scored two goals while fellow freshman Miranda Montejo (Riverside, Calif.) scored one. Robinson headed in her first goal of the match in the 37th minute when she connected with freshman Jessica Thompson's (Ogden, Utah) corner kick. Robinson won the header over two Cougar defenders. Minutes before halftime, sophomore Jessica Wilcox (Phoenix, Ariz.) headed it what would have been Nevada's second goal of the match, but the goal was called back when Wilcox was whisteld for offsides.

Montejo scored an unassisted goal in the 66th minute to give the Pack a 2-0 lead. Montejo collected a loose ball in front of Washington State's goal and beat Cougar keeper Katie Hultin. Robinson struck again in the 75th minute when she collected a pass from senior Annie Baxter (Reno, Nev.) and hit the ball past Hultin.

"This win shows we have a nationally competitive soccer program at Nevada," Patraw said. "Our players are really putting this program on the map."

Nevada keeper Megan Tarpenning (Roseville, Calif.) played the entire game for the Pack and recorded one save. Hultin made six saves for the Cougars in 90 minutes of action.
