Reno, Nev. - Senior Salaia Salave`a and sophomore Teal Ericson led the Silver team back from an 0-1 deficit Saturday night in the University of Nevada Silver & Blue volleyball scrimmage at the Virginia Street Gym. The Blue team won game one 31-29 but the Silver squad won the next three games by scores of 30-27, 30-25, and 30-27 to take the match 3-1.
Salave`a tied for match high honors with 18 kills while Ericson contributed 15 kills. Freshman Allison Hernandez had 12 kills and junior setter Ashley Miller dished out 32 assists for team Silver.
Junior Carly Sorensen led the Blue team with 18 kills which tied Salave`a for match high honors. Senior Christine Harms added 14 kills while Lindsay Holda dished with 23 assists for the Blue squad. Harms had 12 digs, and Sorensen 10 as both finished the match with double-doubles. Sophomore Randi Salis had a match high 17 digs for the Blue squad.
The Pack open the season next Saturday night when BYU comes to Reno for a 7:00 p.m. match at the Virginia Street Gym.
