Final Stats
RENO, Nev. - Nevada managed to have just one player score in double-figures and had their second straight game in the 40's as they lost to arch-rival UNLV here Saturday night, 55-41, in front of 960 fans.
The 41 points were the lowest total in four years as Traci Graham had 10 points to lead the Pack, who shot just 33.3 percent from the field, went 0-6 from three-point range and hit only .579 at the free throw line.
Nevada (1-7) did hold a 32-31 edge in rebounds but again was plagued by turnovers with 25.
The Pack led for much of the first half but wound up trailing 26-22 at the intermission. The Pack went up 6-0 to start the game and led 16-11 with 6:14 remaining in the first half. But the Lady Rebels tied it at 16 at the 4:56 mark. The game would see one more tie at 18 with 3:30 to go but UNLV went on an 8-4 run to closeout the first half.
The Pack would cut it to three, 33-30 at the 14:51 mark of the second half but that would be as close as they would come. UNLV led by as many as 17, 51-34, at the 5:20 mark.
Sheena Moore had 13 points, Sherry McCraklin had 11 and Kisha Lee added 10 to lead UNLV, now 5-2.
The Pack hosts Sacramento State Saturday, Dec. 17 at 5 p.m, in Lawlor Events Center, before taking 11 days away from competition to concentrate on finals that week and then break for Christmas.
