DENVER, COLO. - Tickets for the 2005 Western Athletic Conference Volleyball Tournament will go on sale to the public Wednesday, Oct. 12. The tournament will be held Nov. 24-26 at the Lawlor Events Center on the campus of the University of Nevada. It is the first time that the tournament will be played in the Lawlor Events Center.
Ticket prices are $34 for adults and $19 for senior citizens, children and students for an all-session pass (eight matches; four sessions). All seats are general admission. Parking is included. Single session tickets are also available for $10 for adults and $6 for senior citizens, children and students. Parking is also included.

Tickets can also be purchased in person at the Lawlor Ticket Office. Office hours are Monday-Friday, 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. and Saturday, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
WAC fans can obtain a room rate at the Circus Circus Hotel by calling 800-894-3588 and requesting the fan rate for the "WAC Volleyball Tournament". Rooms are limited and will cost $29.99 on Wednesday, Nov 23, and $89.99 on Thursday-Sunday, Nov. 24-26.
On Thursday, Nov. 24, all nine teams will be in action. The first session match times are slated for 9:30 a.m., noon and 2:30 p.m. In the nightcap, the times are scheduled for 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. On Friday, Nov. 25, the semifinals will be held at 4:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. The WAC championship match is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26.
At last season's WAC Championship in Reno, Hawai'i earned its fifth-straight WAC Tournament title, defeating Nevada, 3-1. With a 13-0 regular season WAC record, the Rainbow Wahine earned their ninth overall WAC title.
For the third time in four seasons, the WAC had three teams advance to the NCAA Tournament, including Hawai'i, Nevada and Rice. Nevada and Rice both lost in the first round, while Hawai'i advanced to the regional semifinals. The Rainbow Wahine ended the season with a 30-1 record.
WAC volleyball attendance has annually ranked among the NCAA's best. In 2004, Hawai'i captured its 10th-consecutive national regular-season total and average attendance titles. The Rainbow Wahine finished the regular season drawing 158,596 fans, surpassing the 121,292-attendance mark for the 10th-consecutive season. Hawai'i also averaged 7,135 fans per match.
