University of Nevada junior wideout Romeo Doubs has been named Wolf Pack Student-Athlete of the Week after his strong performance in the Pack’s 27-20 victory over New Mexico on Saturday.
Doubs finished Saturday night with five receptions for 172 yards and three touchdowns, including a long of 61 yards. He has registered 100 receiving yards or more in all four games this season, tying for fifth in Mountain West history. Doubs and quarterback Carson Strong accounted for all three of Nevada’s touchdowns Saturday night.
The Los Angeles, Calif., native, has recorded 645 receiving yards and eight touchdowns through four games. He has tallied three touchdown receptions in the Wolf Pack’s last two games against Utah State and New Mexico. Doubs’ 645 receiving yards paces Nevada’s wide receiver corps heading into its next matchup against San Diego State.
Doubs leads the country in receiving yards per game (161.3). In addition to leading the nation in receiving yards per game, he ranks ninth in all all-purpose yards (170), 12th in receptions per game (7.8), seventh in scoring (12) and ties for fourth in receiving touchdowns (8).  Doubs also paces the Mountain West conference in receiving touchdowns, total receiving yards and receiving yards per game.
