After helping lead the Wolf Pack to a 1-1 record on its opening weekend, freshman forward Gabby Brown has been named this week’s Wolf Pack Student Athlete of the Week. Brown led Nevada with three points on the weekend, tallying a goal, an assist and leading the Pack with 15 shots.
On Sunday, Nevada picked up its first win of the season against Pacific, and its first ever road victory over the Tigers. Brown led Nevada with five shots, an equalizer goal in the second half and assisted on the game-winner.
In her first-ever collegiate match, Brown put up 10 shots against Eastern Washington with three on goal. As a team, Nevada put up 21 shots against the Eagles, the most in a match since 2016.
The Tigard, Ore. native currently leads the Mountain West with 15 shots.
Nevada will travel to Hawaii for a week for its next two matches, first against the Rainbow Wahine on Thursday, Aug. 29. The trip will end with a neutral-site competition against Sacramento State on Monday, Sept. 2.
