Nevada men's golf sophomore Sam Harned has been named the Wolf Pack Student-Athlete of the Week.
 
Harned helped the Wolf Pack close out the regular season with its seventh top five finish of the year at the El Macero Classic. The Rocklin, Calif. native earned a team-high finish of a tie for fourth place, securing his fifth top 10 of the 2018-19 season. He carded his best round of the tournament, a 71, in the final round to finish at 1-under par for the event, two strokes off the winning score. Harned was the only Pack player to finish under par. After 12 holes in the final round he found himself at 2-over, but birdied three straight holes to climb under par.
 
For the tournament, Harned put together rounds of 72-72-71 and ranked second in the 80-player field in par 4 scoring. Additionally he collected 12 birdies, which was tied for fourth-most in the field.
