The junior ran the 6,000 meter race in 20:26 to secure the top time in the program’s history and lead the Pack to a second place finish. The performance beat the previous time of 20:33, which had been held by Emily Myers since 2014.

Sickler’s eighth-place finish helped Nevada’s scorers record a 62-point outing, which landed them ahead of the University of Portland, UC Davis and Seattle University. Portland was ranked number 28 in last week’s US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association National Poll.
