Amare Johnson works as a graduate assistant for the Men's Basketball team at the University of Nevada. Johnson, a Maryland native, is pursuing his master's in equity and diversity education.
Before moving to Reno, Johnson worked as a manager for the men's basketball team at Towson University, where he obtained his bachelor's degree in psychology. He assisted with daily basketball operations, scouting, practice preparation, player development, and game-day operations during the 2024–25 season, helping the Tigers win the CAA Regular Season Championship.Â
In addition to helping Made Hoops at NCAA-certified tournaments, Johnson also acquired experience with the 2025 USA Basketball U16 National Team Minicamp and the 2026 USA Basketball U17 National Team Minicamp. As a former collegiate basketball player, he offers significant experience in player personnel, basketball operations, talent evaluation, and the daily demands of a Division I program.
