Biography
Nevada: (2010-11) Track and Field Indoor: Won the high jump at the Boise Invite at 1.70m ... First-team All-WAC in the same event with a win at the conference championships (1.76m) ... Second-team All-WAC in the long jump with a sixth-place finish (5.63m). (2009-10) Track and Field Indoor: Finished 12th in the long jump (5.48 meter) at the UW Indoor Preview ... Took fourth in the high jump at the United Heritage Invitational with a jump of 1.63 meters ... Placed second in the high jump (1.62 meters) at the Husky Classic ... Posted a jump of 1.70 meters to finish third in the high jump at the WAC Indoor Championship. Track and Field Outdoor: Took third in the high jump (1.68 meters) and 10th in the long jump (5.21 meters) at the Aggie Open. (2008-09) Track and Field Indoor: Set a PR of 1.63m in the high jump at two indoor meets during the season...also set a PR in the long jump with a jump of 5.55m. Track and Field Outdoor: Recorded an outdoor PR of 5.77m in the long jump and finished second at the WAC Outdoor Championships...also placed ninth in the triple jump (11.35m) at the WAC Outdoor Championships.
High School: Attended Culver City High School in Culver City, Calif....earned four varsity letters in basketball and two in track and field...is the Culver City High School record holder in both the long jump (18[apos]3) and the high jump (5[apos]9)...placed second in the high jump at the Arcadia Invitational in 2006 and 2007...finished first and was the Ocean League high jump champion in 2006-07 and 2007-08...finished first in Division II in both the high jump and the long jump in 2008...placed third overall in the masters meet in 2008 and took fifth overall in the high jump at the 2008 state championships...served as her high school basketball team captain in 2006-07 and 2007-08...earned team MVP awards in basketball in 2006-07 and 2007-08...was the MVP of the Valley Christian High School Basketball Tournament...named the Beth McNieven Outstanding Senior in 2007-08 for basketball...also named the Culver City Exchange Club Female Student-Athlete of the Year in 2007-08 and the Academic Athlete in 2007-08 for basketball.
Personal: Majoring in criminal justice and wants to be a law enforcement officer...was a member and president of the Black Student Union in high school...likes to listen to music...favorite TV show is Prison Break and her favorite movie is Just Like Heaven...favorite place is the beach...was never formally taught how to high jump, learning on her own...also recruited by the University of Georgia...chose Nevada because of the great coaching staff and the nice campus...sports hero is Michael Jordan...favorite sports moment was setting a PR in the high jump (5[apos]9) at the 2008 California State Championship and breaking her own school record...has three siblings, La Toya (17), Dionna (13) and Dakota (9)...daughter of Demitrius and La Tasha Wallace...born in June of 1990.
