Chris Meyer enters his first season as team manager for the Nevada swimming and diving program. Meyer is currently a senior at the University of Nevada and is on track to earn his degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
As a team manager, Meyer is responsible for setting up practices and other day-to-day tasks. On top of his obligations in the pool, Meyer is also responsible for running the HY-TEKÂ software system at home meets.Â
Aside from his duties with the swimming and diving program, Meyer has been an active student on campus, as he is a member in both athletic ad academic clubs. He finds himself part of the Wolf Pack Aquatic Club, serves as an officer in the Engineering Leadership Council and is a member of the Steel Bridge Competition Team.Â
A native of Reno, Nevada, Meyer has been involved with the sport since he was a 12-year-old, when he began his swimming career at the club level with the Reno Aquatic Club. Meyer developed into an All-Regional swimmer for Galena High School and earned recognition at the national level for his club team.
