Upon her graduation from Fresno State, Gaubatz joined the Nevada staff as a graduate assistant athletic trainer, where she primarily worked with the soccer and the cheer & spirit teams. She earned her Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership, with an emphasis in Athletic Administration in 2016.
Her final internship project focused on the use of injury prevention strategies in college athletics and was given the opportunity to present her work to at the Mountain West Conference Athletic Trainers & Physicians Conference meeting in 2016. The title of her presentation was ACL Injury Prevention Measures in Female, Collegiate Athletes. She continues to gather data with her teams and is interested in conducting further research in the future.
