2015-16 Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) Representative

JUNIOR (2018) – Strung together one her best offensive seasons, setting single-season career-highs in RBIs (25), at-bats (155), total bases (63), hits (46) and slugging percentage (.406) … Started the year off as one of the Pack’s most efficient hitters, batting .392 in her first 17 games, which included five multiple hit performances and a pair of three-hit outings … Capped off the regular season having hit safely in seven of her final eight games, including five straight, where she batted .393 in that eight-game span … Ranked second on the team with 11 doubles on the season, which was tied for 10th-most in the conference … Drove in a career-high four runs in the Pack’s 8-1 win over Utah State … Launched a two-run home run in the top of the seventh against Weber State in the elimination game of the Postseason NISC, which proved to be the difference in the game as Nevada won the contest 7-5 … Was one of three players to hit a home run in Nevada’s 13-run third inning against New Mexico … Helped Nevada make back-to-back postseason appearances since the 2008-09 seasons … Letter winner.

REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2017) – Made an appearance in 50 games, starting in 49 contests for the Pack, helping lead Nevada to the program’s first postseason berth since the 2009 season … Had a career year in the field, posting career highs in putouts (67), assists (106) and fielding percentage (.935) … Her 106 assists ranked fifth-most in the conference … Tied her career high with three hits in a game on three separate occasions … Recorded an eight-game hitting streak, where she batted .419 (13-for-31) with five doubles during the stretch … Finished the year recording the second-most doubles on the team with 11, which ranked in the top 15 of the conference … Launched the team’s first home run of the year in Nevada’s first win of the season against Southern Illinois … Went 2-for-3 with an RBI in the Pack’s 7-6 comeback win over No. 17 Utah. 

SOPHOMORE (2016) – Sat out due to injury … Redshirted. 

FRESHMAN (2015) – Started and played in all 53 games at third base … Hit .304 with three home runs and 15 RBI … Had the fourth-best batting average on the squad and ranked fifth with a .374 on-base percentage … Posted the second-best batting average on the squad in conference play (.333) … Was hit by a pitch seven times to lead the team and tied for eighth in the Mountain West … Tied for first with six sacrifice bunts and led the Pack with four sacrifice flies … Her four sacrifice flies tied for first in the conference … Ranked second on the team with nine stolen bases … Her 13 multi-hit games ranked fourth … Blasted her first career home run against Oregon State … Went 6-for-10 with four RBI and three runs scored over a span of four games in February … Tallied a season-best three RBI in the win over Southern Illinois … Scored twice and went 2-for-3 with a stolen base in a win over St. Mary’s … Drove in the go-ahead run that gave Nevada its first Mountain West victory of the season over Utah State … Went 3-for-3 with a solo home run and two runs scored in the second game of a doubleheader against San Diego State … Scored two runs and went 3-for-3 in a 10-5 victory over UNLV. 

HIGH SCHOOL – A 2014 graduate of Chino Hills High School in Chino Hills, California ... Played travel ball with the Corona Angels, coached by Kim Howard ... A four-year letter winner in softball at Chino Hills High School under Mike Southworth ... Named an All-Sierra League selection in 2012...Was awarded the Silver Slugger Award in 2012 and 2013 ... Honored as Sierra League Player of the Year in 2013 ... Named a First-Team All-CIF Selection in 2013 ... Set her high school's single season home run record.

PERSONAL – Daughter of William and Monica Mendez … Lists the most memorable moments of her career as winning the season series against Fresno State in 2017 and hitting her first career home run against Oregon State in 2015 … Chose Nevada because “It’s a great atmosphere and is a beautiful campus, that has a personable coaching staff.” … Enjoys hanging out with friends and going to Dodger games in her spare time … Has already graduated in Public Health and is continuing her education in Dietetics.
