Born and raised in Alaska, Christianson spent six seasons racing as a member of the U.S. Ski Team. He competed in four World Junior Championships, placing ninth in Giant Slalom in Roccaraso, Italy in 2012. He also won the 2016 U.S. National Championships Giant Slalom in Sun Valley, Idaho.
After retiring from ski racing, Kieffer transitioned to coaching for two years before pursuing a PhD in clinical neuropsychology, which he is currently completing at Nevada.
