REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (Fall 2024) - Competed in three meets during the season... Ran a personal best time of 23:27.9 in the 4.5 mile to place 13th at the George Kyte Invitational... Ran a personal best time of 24:43.4 in the 8k at the UCR Cross Country Invitational... Placed 60th in the 8k at the Mountain West Championships with a time of 27:48.1. 

FRESHMAN (2023) - Did not compete. 

HIGH SCHOOL - Graduated from Santa Margarita High School in 2023... Competed in and lettered in track and field and cross country... Earned Trinity League MVP and CIF-SS D3 First Team during his career... Has personal best times in the 3 miles (14:47), 5K (15:37), 1600m (4:16.43), and the 3200m (9:15.5)... Holds the school records in the 3 miles and the 5K.

PERSONAL - Son of John and Candace Yunker ... Has two sisters Jessica and Katelyn... Chose Nevada because of the team culture... Sports hero is Derrick Rose... Most memorable event of his career was the 2022 CIF-SS cross country finals... Enjoys fishing, watching football and basketball, playing basketball, and working at food banks in his free time.
