SOPHOMORE (2018) – After a breakout campaign his first year on the field, will try and build on his 12 catches and four touchdowns from last season by switching to tight end.

REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2017) – Had a breakout season in his first year on the field … Snagged a catch in the end zone four times, becoming known for climbing the ladder for his touchdown catches … Saw action in 11 games … Caught 12 passes for 120 yards … Set a career long with a 37-yard catch against Hawai’i … Set a career high with 52 receiving yards against Hawai’i … Averaged 10 yards a catch in 2017.
 
FRESHMAN (2016) – Did not see action in the regular season … Redshirted during his true freshman season.
 
HIGH SCHOOL - Graduated from Trinity Episcopal School in Richmond, Va. in the spring of 2016 … Was a four-year letter winner football and basketball … Led the Titans to back-to-back VISAA Division II state football championships in 2015 and 2016 … Earned all-state honors as a junior with 63 receptions for 1,095 yards and 19 touchdowns … Also earned all-state honors as a senior and was named to the 2016 All-Richmond Metro First Team with 56 receptions for 987 yards and 17 touchdowns … Named team MVP on the basketball team in 2015.
 
PERSONAL - Son of Vernon Armstrong and Shaneka Turner … Has five siblings … Majoring in general studies … Chose to attend Nevada because of the team family and the scenery … Also received recruiting interest from Pitt, Illinois, Marshall, Temple, Toledo and Appalachian State, among others.
