NEVADA
REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2019) – Appeared in five games for Nevada, recording one assisted tackle against San Jose State … Switched from safety back to quarterback in the middle of the season.
 
SOPHOMORE (2018) – Redshirted his sophomore season.
 
FRESHMAN (2017) – Was behind center for three games in 2017 … Made his debut against Idaho State … Went 20-of-38 on the year with three touchdowns, 123 yards and just one interception … Set his career long with a 54 yard completion against Idaho State … Scored all three of his touchdowns against the Bengals … Also rushed the ball 22 times.

HIGH SCHOOL – A three-star recruit as rated by 247Sports out of Leuzinger High School in California … Part of the Los Angeles High CIF Division III City Championship in 2015 … Received multiple athletic honors including all-league first team, Pioneer League MVP, first team All-Coliseum League QB, three-time all-state selection, MaxPreps National Player of the Week in 2015, DIII City Champion MVP in 2014 … Completed 192 passes on 307 attempts his senior year … Also racked up 3,150 yards with 32 touchdowns and just five interceptions … Rushed 82 times for 496 yards and six touchdowns … Boasts a 34-6-1 record as a starting QB and over 10,000 passing yards in his career.

PERSONAL – Son of Vivian and Clay Cureton … Majoring in business and would like to be a sports representative or agent after college … Is the nephew of MLB Hall of Fame inductee Tony Gwynn … His cousin Tony Gwynn Jr. played in the MLB for four different teams, his cousin Mickey Cureton played football at UCLA and another one of his cousins, Earl Cureton, played basketball for the Detroit Pistons … Chose Nevada because the university provided academic and athletic criteria to challenge himself and become a better young man … Also recruited by LSU, Alabama and Oregon … Lists his uncle Tony Gwynn and Mike Vick as his sports heroes … The most memorable moment of his career was throwing for 502 yards and five touchdowns in a single game … Enjoys reading, producing music, rapping and singing, working out and coaching youth football in his free time … Has been a part of reviving two football programs.
