REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2020) – Should see more playing time on the defensive line after appearing in three games late in 2019 … Was still able to redshirt under the NCAA redshirt rule.

HIGH SCHOOL – Graduated from Lufkin High School in Texas where he was a three-time letterwinner in football … Helped his team to a district championship during his career … Named a two-time first team all-district selection and defensive end newcomer of the year.

PERSONAL – Son of Jay Brunson and Aslycia Washington … Has two sisters, Chanrelle and Jaisa, and one brother, Derek … Undecided on a major but would like to play in the NFL or get into sports broadcasting after college … Chose Nevada because it was the best opportunity for him to play and receive a good education … Also recruited by Texas A&M, Arkansas, Texas, Texas Tech, SMU, Memphis, North Texas, among others … Lists Aaron Donald as his sports hero … The most memorable moment of his pre-college career was when he had a 50-yard pick six in a game.
