Spent his first two seasons (2023-24) at Michigan, where in 2024 he shared Scout Team Defensive Player of the Week for his role in preparing the offense for Arkansas State … Redshirted the 2023 season, and appeared in one game with one tackle in 2024 … Attended Cardinal Mooney Catholic High School … Led the Cardinals to an 8-3 record and one playoff victory during his senior 2022 season … Earned FHSAA second-team All-State honors following his senior season … Also recognized by SBLive Sports Florida on its 2022 All-South Suncoast Football Team … Contributed 58 tackles, 26 TFL, 13 sacks, one PBU, one fumble recovery, and one blocked field goal in 2022 … As a junior in 2021, helped the team post a 7-3 record … Also lettered in baseball and basketball for the Cardinals … Parents are Steve and Kelly MacKinnon.
