HIGH SCHOOL – Local product out of Galena High School in Reno where he was a two-sport athlete in football and lacrosse … Was a first team all-conference and all-league selection … Caught 13 passes for 264 yards and two touchdowns as a senior ... Two-player who also started at defensive end, recording 32 tackles, including 12 for a loss.
 
PERSONAL – Son of Amanda and Tom Werbeckes … Has one younger sister, Ava … His uncle, James Werbeckes, and his father, Tom, both played football at Nevada … Criminal justice major who would like to go into law enforcement after college … Chose Nevada because it’s in his hometown and his father and uncle both played football at Nevada … Also recruited by San Diego State, Southern Oregon and Santa Rosa JC … Lists his dad and Rob Gronkowski as his sports heroes … The most memorable moment of his pre-college career was the 2017 game against Carson … Enjoys lifting, playing Xbox with friends, trying to learn how to play golf and hanging out with family playing cards and dominos in his free time.
