Zach Higginbotham

Zach Higginbotham

Strength and conditioning coach Zach Higginbotham is in his first year with the Wolf Pack and came to Nevada after a playing career in college football and an early start in the coaching profession.
 
Higginbotham, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, joins the Pack after working with The Ohio State University football program. Higginbotham worked with the daily aspects of the Buckeyes athletic performance staff for football.
 
Prior to Ohio State, Higginbotham spent time at Marshall where he worked with the strength and conditioning program in 2016 during his senior season. Tasked with the development of underclassmen student-athletes and the redshirt program, Higginbotham oversaw the long-term development of the student-athletes. Higginbotham later went to work for The Ohio State Football program in 2017 and was a part of a Big Ten Championship and Cotton Bowl win against the University of Southern California. He helped execute all training sessions, sports science and player development.
 
Higginbotham received his bachelor’s degree in exercise science with a minor in psychology from Marshall University in 2017. During his undergraduate career, Higginbotham was a member of multiple bowl winning teams, a conference championship in 2014 and several top 25 teams as a linebacker for the Thundering Herd.
