HIGH SCHOOL – Graduated from Corona del Mar High School in California where he was a two-sport athlete in football and wrestling … Helped lead his team to a conference title in 2017 … Earned three first team all-league honors and was named first team all-city and second team all-county in2016 … Also played rugby.
 
PERSONAL – Son of Cherie Ruby and Shar Pourdanesh … Has two brothers, Kamran and Julian, who is also on the Nevada football team … His father, Shar, was an All-American at Nevada and played in the NFL from 1996-2001 … Political science major and would like to join the U.S. Air Force after college … Chose Nevada because he wanted to continue his father’s legacy and leave it in a better place than he found it … Also recruited by Northern Arizona and Dixie State … Lists his father, Shar, as his sports hero … The most memorable moment of his pre-college career was scoring five touchdowns in a game where his team snapped the opponent’s 35-game win streak … Plays the ukulele and spends time with family and friends in his free time.
