Henry Strmecki, who finished his collegiate playing career with the Wolf Pack in 2023, returns to Reno as Director of Hitting Development in 2026.
Strmecki played professionally for the Missoula PaddleHeads of the Pioneer League in 2025. In 2024, he served as an assistant coach at Middlebury College, where he played from 2018-21 and was named to the All-NESCAC First Team after batting .344 with six homers and 28 RBIs in 2019. Middlebury went 32-13, won the NESCAC Tournament title, and reached the title game of the NCAA Division III Regional at Misericordia in 2024.
In his lone season playing at Nevada, Strmecki started all 52 games in which he appeared, leading the Pack in both categories. He batted .277 with 11 doubles, two triples, nine homers, 33 RBIs, and 40 runs scored, and posted six three-hit games. Prior to joining the Wolf Pack, he spent the 2022 campaign at Dayton where he led the Flyers with a .313 batting average, a .406 on-base percentage, a .589 slugging percentage, and 12 doubles, while hitting nine home runs and driving in 30 runs.
