In his lone season at William Jessup, Shaps played in 31 games, batting .453 with a homer, six doubles, and 13 RBIs, and going 1-1 with 19 strikeouts over 14.1 innings of work spanning six mound appearances. He also was named to the Fort Worth All-Regional Team that postseason.
