REDSHIRT JUNIOR (2021) -- Saw time in five games during his redshirt junior season and went 1-for-3 at the plate … Also drew a walk in one of his at-bats.

JUNIOR (2020 - Season shortened due to COVID-19) -- Made three starts in his first season with the Wolf Pack, his first being against Portland (2/14) … Smacked a single in his first-career at-bat with Nevada against the Pilots … Recorded three hits to boast a .273 batting average on the year … Recorded one double, coming against Hofstra (2/29).

PRIOR TO NEVADA -- Spent two seasons at Merced Junior College in Merced, Calif. playing in the Central Valley Conference … Batted .380 and led the conference with 22 stolen bases last season … Named an Academic All-American.

HIGH SCHOOL -- Attended Summerville Union High School in Tuolumne, Calif. … Lettered in baseball from 2014-16 as well as wrestling from 2015-16 and basketball in 2014 … Named first-team All-League in 2015-16 and league MVP in 2015 … Batted .362 in 47 high school games played, totaling 51 hits and 21 RBI … Smacked seven doubles in high school while scoring 50 runs.

PERSONAL -- Son of the late Greg Burns … Has a younger sister Emma and an older sister Heidi McAdams … Majoring in Human Development and Family Studies … Came to Nevada to get out of California and become part of a winning program … Lists Dustin Pedroia as his sports hero … His most memorable moment of his career was when he had two drag bunt hits and a walk-off home run in the same game … In his free time enjoys hiking, fishing, snowboarding and being outdoors.
