2018 (Sr.):  Made eight appearances out of the bullpen and pitched nine innings … Recorded 10 strikeouts with a 9.00 ERA … Pitched a season-high one inning against Saint Mary’s (4/24) … Named Academic All-Mountain West … Graduated with a degree in community health sciences … Lettered for the second time.

2017 (Jr.): Pitched 12 innings for the Wolf Pack in 15 appearances … Finished the season with a 6.75 ERA …  Allowed nine earned runs while striking out 10 batters … Pitched a career-high two innings for the Wolf Pack at Hawai’i (3/30) giving up two hits and no runs … No decisions on the season … Lettered for the first time.

PRIOR TO NEVADA
College: Attended and played baseball at Western Nevada College in Carson City, Nev. from 2014-16 … Honorable mention as a pitcher in the Southwestern Athletic Conference in 2016 … Recorded a 2.82 ERA in 2015 with an 8-4 record … In 2016 posted a 3.05 ERA with a 9-5 record and recorded 96 strikeouts … Team was SWAC champions in 2016 and were runner ups at the Western District finals.

High School: Graduated from Reno High School lettering in both baseball and football for three years … Named the Northern Nevada Pitcher of the Year in 2014 … All-state pitcher in 2014 … Made the Northern Nevada all-star team in 2013 and 2014 … Team was three-time Northern Nevada Regional Champs from 2012-14 … Recorded a 13-1 record in 2014.

PERSONAL
Majoring in Kinesiology … Son of Shelby and Tom Young … Enjoys fishing, going to Tahoe and spending time with teammates … Chose the Wolf Pack because it was local and wants to bring a championship to Nevada … Career highlight came from striking out the side on 10 pitches while pitching in the West Coast League All-Star Game … Sports hero is Peyton Manning because he always did everything the right way and outworked the guy next to him.
