REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2021) -- Played in six games and made four starts in his debut season with the Wolf Pack … Went 2-for-16 at the plate in his six games … Drove in two runs and scored two more … Made two putouts in the outfield and did not commit an error … Made his Division I debut Feb. 20 when he started in the designated hitter spot at Cal Poly … Letter winner.

PRIOR TO NEVADA -- Transferred from Santa Rosa Junior College where he earned an associate’s degree in business administration and was a member of the baseball team from 2018-20 … Earned first team all-conference honors in 2019 and was named a preseason All-American in 2020 … In 2019 he batted .400 in conference play and .331 overall with one homerun and 22 RBI.

HIGH SCHOOL -- Attended Petaluma High School in California where he was a three-sport letterwinner in baseball, basketball and football … Helped his team capture a conference title in baseball in 2017 … Earned a number of individual accolades in baseball including three first team all-league selections, two MVP awards, an outstanding baseball career award in 2017, the Jack “Bud” O’Conner Leadership Award and a Gold Glove in 2017 … Posted his best season as a senior where he hit .402 for the year.

PERSONAL -- Son of Laura Douglas … Has three brothers, Ryan, Dean and Shane … Majoring in business administration with emphasis in marketing … Chose Nevada because of the well-known, hardworking baseball program and because it was the perfect distance from home … Also recruited by Campbell, USF, UC Davis, Saint Mary’s, Northern Colorado, Butler and Eastern Michigan, among others … Lists Fernando Tatis Jr. as his sports hero … The most memorable moment of his pre-Nevada career was playing for the West team in the Little League World Series in 2012 … Enjoys weightlifting, hanging out with friends and playing video games in his free time.
